Was it worth the money ?
The first consideration or decision we all have to make is the total cost of the whole weekend. The advertised price was £294 ($391 US) and this is per person if a couple were sharing a room, for a single occupancy room, the cost would be £335 ($445 US)
Taking everything into account, I think this is great value if you consider what you are getting.
For example, let me break it down to give you some idea of what any paying guests would normally have to pay if booking online to stay at this hotel.
3 x nights – per night . . . . . . . . . . .£114
Bed and English Breakfast
2 x Mid Day meals . . . . . . . . . . . . .£10 each
2 x Afternoon Tea & Cake . . . . . . . .£5
3 x Evening Meals . . . . . . . . . . . . . £25 each
3 day WI-FI connection. . . . . . . . . £15 day
Total for the 3 days £497 ($661 US)
So as you can see the price I payed is considerably less than other normal paying guests, and on top of this you get a number of Workshop Training spread over 2 full days, FREE full use playing any and all the Lowrey Organs that are there, as well as 3 top class evening organ concerts played by some of Lowrey’s own best Entertainment Artiste’s in the world.
On top of all this, you’ll get to meet some very interesting fellow organists of all levels, who are equally enthusiastic and like minded just like you, all of whom will have the exact same interest as you, and will soon become your very good friends.
The one thing i can take-away from this weekend was the amount of knowledge and expertise available to you to harness and now is literally at your fingertips to put into practice. There must be something so powerful going on at this event for so many of the attendees to return year after year !
Was it worth the money you may ask ? – I think it was and have no problem in giving it a very big thumbs up. If you have never been before, it is something you must try at least once . . . . I know of at least one person who will be going in 2018, so hopefully I’ll see you there.
