Bill Dickson (Billy)

I never knew Bill Dickson Personally, but what i do know about him is that he was a very well respected person amongst his organist friends on many a website and forum, and loved his music.
Bill Also had a You tube channel where he would play his Lowrey Stardust. All of the you tube videos can be viewed below.

So why have I included Bill in this list ?  –

Quite simply after his passing it was this actual Lowrey Stardust Organ that I purchased from his Daughter !

If you listen to Bill Playing the Lowrey Stardust below, you will soon realise he was an excellent player and best of all he enjoyed playing the organ, I say was, as unfortunately he passed away after a short illness in march 2017.

It was not just Lowrey organs that Bill Played he also at one time owned  a Yamaha, Technics KN6000, a Kawai SR6, Elka C1000 and had his own little Playing Den/studio to house them in the  garage attached to the side of the house.

Bill also liked to play for others, and freely devoted a lot of his time to play at A Dance Club and at a charity event at the Rolls Royce Pavilion

 

With all types of music genre, and the ability to play all types of Organs, Bill never refused an opportunity to play something a little bigger and more grand than a home organ or keyboard.
