How to determine The Date of Manufacture of Late-Model Lowrey Organs
This information may help you to ‘date’ your Lowrey organ and find out the true manufacturing date.
The date of manufacture is in the serial number.
The letter in the serial number is the month of manufacture,
A B C D E F G H J K L M (Jan. to Dec.) Note ‘I’ is not used)
In other words:
A=January
B=February
C=March
D=April
E=May
F=June
G=July
H=August
J=September
K=October
L=November
M=December
The first number after the letter is the year.
Example: K1 (Oct. 2001)
B5 (Feb. 2005)
I have a Lowery Odyssey. The serial is SE20KD. Can you tell how much you think it’s worth? It was my mother’s. It’s in excellent condition, seldom used.
Hello Patricia
You don’t say where you are from ? in the UK they can get about £600 in a private sale, although you will see retailers who will have to make a profit on sales selling them for a lot more, currently about £1200. In the USA, they will go for a lot less !
where do I find the serial number on a lowery premeire se-30 organ
There is normally a plate on the right hand side, under the bottom keyboard
I have a 1965 lowery 1065 100k0 58676..any ideas what it’s worth
These are very old and probably not worth anything, of course they are of value, but no one will want to buy one that old which is a shame, i wish i had a lot of space and would buy them all up for prosperity (some day they may be worth a lot )! but the electronics eventually will age and fail.
I recently purchased a Lowery Festival, NL20 109E6 89392 The tag under the keyboard is dated May 1996. Is there any way to tell the age of this lovely organ. I’ve had two church organists play it and they felt it was in excellent working order.
Forgive me Ray, but have you not already answered your question ? . . . . . May 1996
They started manufacture of the NL-20 in 1993 – so they are getting on a bit now !
you can take the back off and have a look inside, on many of the circuit boards you may see labels that are dated
