These are an exact replacement and the correct bulbs that illuminate many parts of a Lowrey Organ’s Console.
They are exactly the same size and type replacement for the original ones.
The Bulbs here are very low wattage with a current rating of just 0.1A , and should not be confused with other similar types that are commonly used in the car industry to illuminate car dash boards.
These car types may be higher wattage bulbs, they may look exactly the same but will more likely be 12V or 14V and 1.5 watts, some look exactly the same and are 3 Watt and 10 watts . . . . . . I recently read about a suggestion to using GE-74’s (in USA), Which are far too bright for our needs and giving off higher heat levels which may result in the varnish finish of the consoles cabinet becoming very dry and leading to the gloss finish flaking off – SEE BELOW – this is a direct result of what happens if the incorrect one’s are used.
