How to Repair Your Lowrey Bench Seat

Firstly Let’s take a look at the different seat options available on the different models ?

Early models had very basic benches with no padding, but nowadays we have the luxury of a good quality padded seat, some better than others

Not just for personal comfort, but they look better, and add value to make the selling of the organ more lucrative

But what about if something goes wrong, an accident or just ware are tare over time ?

Clearly if you have been playing and sitting at an organ for any length of time, you’ll soon realize that comfort is paramount, and many DIY enthusiasts over the years will have attempted to cover a flat wooden bench or replace an already upholstered bench with varying degrees of success !

Many of the intermediate range  of Lowrey Organs will have a simple flat bench seat. This being the easiest to recover and should be something that anyone with practicable skills will be able to attempt themselves with great success.

But what about the more expensive seats such as the Elite Series of organs, many of them will have more luxurious  Diamond Tufted seats, and some with built in backrests. which not only look good but are harder to recover – or are they ?
