Who is Joseph Cardana

Joseph Cardana (Joe /Anadrac)

Joe Cardana was born in 1969,  started following his mother’s musical talents playing on a Lowrey Contempo-80 in 1977 by copying the Boogie Woogie Bass pattern.

At the age of 16, while working as the janitor at Carnes Piano & Organ in San Leandro, CA USA, he took lessons for 6 months, however he never learned to proficiently read music. But that didn’t stop him from falling in love with the Yamaha FX-20 Electone.

His mother then added the Celebration C-500 into the mix whereby Joe could perfect his rendition of “Nadia’s Theme” (his first real song).

In 1980 the Genius keyboard was added.

Joe joined the Navy in 1987, thus putting a hold on his musical talents.  Then in 1997, he managed to find a Yamaha FX-20 Electone for $3000 in Walnut Creek, CA, USA, just before being deployed over seas and changing home-ports from Alameda, Ca, USA to Bremerton, WA, USA.  After 6 months of free storage and 780 miles of free shipping, Joe received his dream organ.

In 2002, after transferring to Everett, WA, USA, Joe bought a Lowrey LX-500 Celebration and retired from the Navy in 2007.

2009 marked another end to Joe’s musical path with the death of his mother. Giving away his two organs, Joe moved back home to California to keep his father company. In 2013 Joe married Tami the cleaning lady, and moved into a home seven houses down the street from his father.

After the 2015 Butte Fire, Joe and Tami moved to New Mexico and turned the poorly functioning Contempo 80 into a cat condo.  Joe’s father followed a couple months later and in February of 2017, purchased a Lowrey Marquee for him to enjoy.  After 7 months of practice, Joe’s first CD was a present for his father’s 80 birthday.
